Wirksworth Wizarding Day

Something magical happens in town every October as fans of Harry Potter, and other wizardly stories, gather for a day of family and grown-up wizarding activities.
There are events across town, from crafts, stalls and food, to train rides, owls, snakes and storytelling. There is a special screening of a Harry Potter film and a Quidditch tournament. Everyone is encouraged to dress as their favourite characters from the books.
The day supports charities and good causes each year. Beneficiaries have been Aquabox, Wirksworth Skatepark Appeal and Foundation Derbyshire.
