Participants will be led through timed writing exercises using dice, cards and chess pieces as triggers to generate plot lines and characters. Story Games are fun and useful tools for provoking the imagination, and potentially giving writers the initial inspiration for larger works. After each round, participants are invited to read out their pieces, if they are comfortable doing so.
Turn up at the library between 10 and 12 to either watch or join in with as many exercises as you wish. Each round will take about 10 – 25 mins depending on the game and numbers of people. Bring your own notebook, or use the pen and paper provided.
This activity is suitable for both old and young (12+).
