Award-winning writer, poet, and educator Jamie Thrasivoulou will launch Feral, his third full-length collection of poetry at The Feather Star.
Jamie Thrasivoulou is also the lyricist in the band Kez. In 2019 he won the Saboteur award for Best Spoken word performer in the UK, in 2018 he won the Culture Matters Bread & Roses award for Best spoken word and musical collaboration. His work has been published and broadcast widely, including appearances on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, and BBC Radio 4.
Grounded in working class experience, his poems are packed full of witty and often satirical social observation; he has two fingers aimed firmly towards authority and the class system.
Feral is published in February 2025 through Verve Poetry Press. https://vervepoetrypress.com/product/jamie-thrasivoulou-feral-pre-order-out-oct-2024-free-uk-pp
