Come and Sing Vivaldi’s Gloria

Come and Sing day in St Mary’s Church Wirksworth hosted by Wirksworth Community Choir with Musical Director Adam Green

We will be singing Vivaldi’s Gloria (Ricordi edition) as the main event with two of Handel’s Coronation Anthems: Zadok the Priest and The King Shall Rejoice as the support acts
Adam will be leading the Gloria workshop and Lynn Dean will lead the Coronation Anthems; Tim Capes will accompany on St Mary’s Church Organ.
Scores will be available on the day (Ricordi edition)
Rehearsals start at 10am with registration from 9.30am; hot and cold drinks will be provided as well as homemade cakes in the afternoon. It would be helpful if you brought your own mug.
There are various eateries in Wirksworth for lunch or bring a pack-up.
Warm layers if it is a cold day and dark clothes for the performance – it is a good idea to bring a cushion!
You are also invited to join WCC for 3 weekly rehearsals 25th Sept, 2nd & 9th Oct at Wirksworth Junior School DE4 4FD, 7.45 pm where you can also access scores. We ask for a small donation of £4 per session to help with choir expenses.

There will be a performance at 5pm.
