DESCRIPTION:Let your imagination run wild creating your own willow animal. No experience necessary for this fun and accessible medium. Make a fox\, pheasant\, hare or hens to enhance any home or garden. \nOver the 2 days you will design and construct a creature of your choice…be that a four-legged animal or a pair of bird sculptures. Dogs & cats\, sheep & pigs\, deer\, hares\, ducks & hens have all proven popular over the years. Past projects have included a snail\, a peacock and even a unicorn! Abstract forms are equally possible should you prefer this approach. \nArtist Caroline Gregson will share her wealth of knowledge about all things willow…how to grow\, harvest\, prepare\, sculpt and weave. Start day one with a bundle of pliable willow rods and a basic sketch…return home the next day with a substantial work of art! \nThis class takes place outside whenever possible. Views out across the fields to Carsington Water makes the garden a lovely place to work. \nPrice includes professional tuition\, lunches & refreshments. Additional materials fee payable on the day.
